"Based On A True Story: Not A Memoir by Norm Macdonald"

It was my (Joey) turn to choose a book for Tall Boy to read, and selfishly I selected this one.

I've always wanted to read it but never took the initiative until after Norm passed away. Not everything in this book is true; the title says it all: Based On A True Story.

As you begin reading you're thinking, ok, this is to be expected from a memoir, but then as the story continues, what made Norm special really shines through. He tells some great stories from life, stand up, SNL, going broke and trying to make his money back, and giving a kid his dying wish, each the way Norm "remembers" them. It's not for everyone, but I highly recommend this book, especially on audio with Norm narrating.
